I need a new thread.. I am sad to keep going here and looking at the bad and ugly.
I wen tto a great yoga class at eastlake yoga on eastlake this morning.
The instructor did not know yoga as well as I do but she made no issue of it.. and her pure heart and warmth is wonderful.
I see great things for this yoga facility.

Wed, August 6, 2008 - 6:31 PMI am in Seattle.
yesterday I went to a medium class.
I really took a dislike to a teacher whose yuippie preppy voice and not good sequence never talking about breathing and snapping at people. -

Re: excellent yoga classes thi spast month
Thu, August 7, 2008 - 12:05 AMAw that sucks! One of my best instructors (who I will miss because I might be quitting the gym he teaches at) said that yoga is breathing, nothing more, nothing less. Basically that as long as you're breathing properly, you are doing some form of yoga. Words to live by. -

Re: excellent yoga classes thi spast month
Thu, August 7, 2008 - 6:16 AMI know Le.
the class was a free demo class. It was in a long established iyengar studio.
I did take offense at her pointing at my mat and materials and saying in a shrill voice, " is this you?" Then tho I discounted it .. th e class with no personl and all preppie cheerleader or commands with some wrong information went on and on and on.. a 1 1/2 hour class can be LONG in many ways.. the sheer torture when it is tough or the mental and ear-splitting tortureof an incompetent instructor and her shrill voice with the obligatory stops for "I'll show you how... to do chataronga.. properly>"
it is funny an retrospect.
I have tried 6 yoga class instruoctors since I have been back.
William at yogiway and ballard health Club are the best of the 6. -
