I'm open to it but I honestly think that the vast majority of folks have a lot to think about anatomically, while trying to clear the rest of the garbage out of their minds, seems like weights would make moving into your body and mind more difficult. There's already so much going on to be aware of. Throwing weights in on top that makes Yoga seem counter productive to people who Asana has not yet become like second nature to.

That being said, it may be wonderful for seasoned Yogi's to try for strength!

that would be my concern, there's a big difference in just going in to an asana and being active in it, which can be a workout in itself. I have this book coming from amazons new&used. I'll let you know how it goes.

I've been using Iron Yoga for the past 10 years. Even before the book came out. It really cooks the weight off. And you don't have to use a heavy weight to do this! I started with a 2 lbs., in each hand. I'm currently up to 25 lbs. I also mix the asanas with regular free weight training as well and palates for men: www.amazon.com/Complete-B.../0060820772

Now, I'm totally addicted and the results are dramatic!

    :D

Across whatever distance, I send my love,
